Basket
Among the most common settings for diamond rings, the basket setting features a metal "basket" at the bottom of the setting typically consisting of two metal rings that stabilize the diamond. Four to six prongs to hold the diamond in place. The setting allows light to reach the diamond from a number of angles for a brilliant, gleaming look.
