Carat

The term 'carat', though commonly misused in reference to a diamond's physical size or size appearance due to cut, actually refers to a diamond's metric unit of weight. We at Michael C. Fina select only the best-proportioned diamonds for their weight, as opposed to sacrificing brilliance for size. The value of diamonds of different carats may vary greatly depending on color, clarity, and most importantly the cut. With all other factors being equal, heavier diamonds are rarer and thus more valuable.
