Polish
The degree to which a diamond has been polished is very important to how well light passes through it. If a diamond is poorly polished, it will negatively affect gem's brilliance with microscopic polish lines. These polish lines reduce the amount of light that enters or exits a diamond and blur the diamond's surface.
