Types of Wine Glasses

Whether you are a casual wine drinker or an oenophile you deserve to get the most out of your wine, so don't overlook the glass.

The glass you pick will affect your entire wine experience. Thick, patterned, colored, or cut glass makes it more difficult to see the wine. The color of a wine tells connoisseurs the type of grape used, the age of the wine, and a number of other factors that can't be appreciated in a glass that isn't clear and uncut.

Additionally, the thinner the glass, the less it will distract from the wine. A thick glass will distort your view of the wine and can also get in the way when you try to drink; you want to taste the wine not the glass.
