A Message For Our Customers


More than eighty years ago, my grandparents founded Michael C. Fina. A love for family celebrations has fueled the growth of the business since day one, and during this time, we have been honored to be a part of the many important milestones in our customers’ lives. Eight decades later, this hasn’t changed.

What has changed are the needs of customers everywhere. In this digital age, customers rightfully expect to be able to shop from their homes, offices or while walking down the street and they want to access the store of their choice from any device. Our customers are no different. This was underscored by the fact that our sales have quickly moved from our physical store to our website, and our customers are regularly telling us they prefer to shop online.

MICHAEL C. FINA IS MOVING ONLINE

Our customers have always been the bellwether for our success, so when we continually hear that feedback, we know change is needed. Therefore, on April 16, Michael C. Fina will move its business from 500 Park Avenue in New York City exclusively to michaelcfina.com. As you can imagine, this was not an easy decision. After more than 80 years of operating a brick and mortar store, it is in our DNA to have one. But the world around us has changed, and in order to meet your needs, we are changing too.

As part of our move, we’d like to tell you about some additional exciting developments:

• Beginning this summer, we are partnering with Zola.com, the fastest growing Online Wedding Registry. This partnership will provide our Wedding Registrants with access to a best-in-class, Universal Wedding Registry experience. When combined with our one-of-a-kind assortment, it will be unparalleled in the industry. In the coming weeks, we’ll provide detailed information explaining how this will affect your registry. In the meantime click here for answers to your registry related questions.

• Over the next several months we will transition our fulfillment services to Amazon. This will provide you with the same superior experience you have come to trust from Amazon in getting you what you have ordered as quickly and efficiently as possible.

• This fall, we will launch a new and enhanced version of the Michael C. Fina website. We listened to what you had to say, and we have used that information to ensure that your experience will be stress free and what you have come to expect when shopping online. While we can’t tell you about all of the upgrades, we can tell you that we have made detailed product information readily available and are creating a robust search and filtering functionality making it easier for you to find the products you are looking for.

My family and I want to thank you for your loyalty and for trusting us with some of the most important moments in your life. It is a privilege that we do not take for granted. We look forward to continuing to celebrate with you and your loved ones for many years to come. How Will This Affect Me?


Your open order will not be canceled. If you have already provided us with a shipping address, we will send the order to you at that address. If you have not yet provided a shipping address for your order, please contact our customer service department at 1-800-289-3462 or email us at info@michaecfina.com to provide us with a shipping address.

If you currently have an item in for repair or engraving with us, you may pick it up in the store if it is ready before April 16th, 2016. For items not ready before April 16th please contact our customer service department at 1-800-289-3462 or email us at info@michaecfina.com to provide us with a shipping address and we will ship it to you at no additional charge.

If you placed an order for in-store pickup, and it is ready before April 16th you may pick it up in store. For pickups after April 16th please contact our customer service department at 1-800-289-3462 or email us at info@michaecfina.com to provide us with a shipping address and we will ship it to you at no additional charge.

You may use any store credit that is less than 2 years old online at michaelcfina.com. For further information on how to use your store credit please click here. If your credit is more than two years old, please call our customer service department at 1-800-289-3462 or email us at info@michaecfina.com to find out the status of your credit.

How Will This Affect My Registry?


No. All registries created in store will continue to be available online at michaelcfina.com and later, depending on your wedding date and registry type, at Zola.com. Click here to access your registry on zola.com

Absolutely! You will be able to create a new registry on michaelcfina.com until the launch of our partnership with Zola.com. After the partnership with Zola.com goes live, customers visiting our website will be automatically redirected to Zola.com to create their new registry. Please note however that effective April 4th Michael C. Fina will no longer offer a Hold™ Registry. Click here to create your registry on zola.com

Beginning April 4th customers will no longer be able to create a Hold™ registry.

There could be changes to your registry depending on your wedding date and/or whether you originally created a Hold™ Registry or a Traditional registry. The key changes are:

  • If you originally created a Traditional registry and your wedding date is after March 1st 2016 it will be switched over to Zola.
  • If you originally created a Hold™ registry with a wedding date after July 16th 2016, and it has existing purchases on it, it will be switched over to Zola.
  • If you originally created a Hold™ registry with a wedding date between March 1st 2016 and July 16th 2016 and there are no purchases on it, it will be switched over to Zola.

If you originally created a Traditional registry and your wedding date is before March 1st 2016 there will be no change to your Traditional registry. You can manage your registry by emailing info@michaelcfina.com

If you originally created a Traditional registry and your wedding date is after March 1st 2016 your registry will be transferred to Zola.com on your behalf at no cost to you. You will receive further communication from Michael C. Fina and Zola inviting you to confirm your registry information and explore the Michael C. Fina partnership with Zola.com.

You and your guests will still be able to view and make purchases from your registry by emailing us at info@michaelcfina.com.

If you originally created a Hold™ registry with a wedding date is on or before July 16th 2016 and there are purchases on it you will still be able to view, manage and make purchases from your registry on michaelcfina.com. Please call Michael C. Fina up to 60 days after your wedding date to have your gifts shipped to you or converted to a store credit for use on michaelcfina.com. You also have the option to convert your Hold™ registry to a Traditional registry that will remain on michaelcfina.com.

If you originally created a Hold™ registry with a wedding date between March 1st 2016 and July 16th 2016 and there are no purchases on it, it will be converted to a Traditional registry and switched over to Zola.

If you have a Hold™ registry with a wedding date after July 16th your registry will be converted to a traditional registry and gifts will be shipped to you as your guests purchase them. Please come in to the store between April 4th and April 16th, 2016 to have any existing purchases shipped to you or to convert their value to store credit for use on michaelcfina.com. Once the Michael C. Fina partnership with Zola.com is launched, Michael C. Fina will transfer your registry to Zola.com at no cost to you. You will receive a welcome email inviting you to view your registry and explore the Michael C. Fina partnership with Zola.com.

Please contact Michael C. Fina customer service within 60 days of your wedding date to have your gifts shipped to you or exchanged. Sixty days after your wedding date, the cash value of the purchases on your registry will be converted to store credit to be used on michaelcfina.com at a later date. You will still be able to view and make purchases on your registry via michaelcfina.com. Any changes to your Hold™ registry must now be done by contacting our customer service department at 1-800-289-3462 or via email us at registry@mcfina.com

Any Hold™ registry with a wedding date from March 1st 2016 to July 16th 2016 (inclusive) that currently does not have any purchases will be converted to a Traditional registry. Your Traditional registry will be transferred to Zola.com at the launch of our boutique on Zola.com. You will receive a welcome email inviting you to view your registry and explore the Michael C. Fina partnership with Zola.com.
